Cu Chi tunnels are located approximately 60km from Ho Chi Minh city, it is a legendary underground system of over 220 km of tunnels, a must-see for both Vietnamese and foreign travelers who are interested in the history of the Vietnam War. The tunnels are now a historical structure of Vietnam and considered a heroic district for the role they played in the resistance to US forces during the Vietnam War.
Once you arrive, you will get a chance to walk through some of the tunnels, discover the hidden corners and imagine what life was like here for the resistance soldiers. If you’re feeling brave, or curious, you can even try your hand at shooting at AK-47, one of the guns used during the war.
End of the trip in Cu Chi tunnels we head back to Ho Chi Minh City, arriving at around 13:00.
In the afternoon we will enjoy Ho Chi Minh City tour with visiting Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Post Office.
Continue to visit the Reunification Palace. Here on 30 April 1975 the American War officially ended when tank number 843 of the North Vietnamese Army crashed through the gates of what was at the time the residence of the President of the Republic of Vietnam.
The other placeyoou can not miss in your Vietnam trip is visiting Museum of American War Crimes, the War Remnants Museum features poignant displays of the futility of war. The courtyard outside contains the spoils of war, namely rusting jets, tanks, and cannons captured from the American military machine.
